Elaine focuses her practice defending commercial transportation litigation nationwide for motor carriers, freight brokers, airlines, and their employees and insurers. She has experience defending product liability claims against manufacturers of commercial vehicles, consumer products, and medical drugs and devices and defending commercial transportation clients against claims alleging defects in vehicles and safety equipment. Elaine also analyzes and litigates insurance coverage.

She has extensive experience with critical motions and briefs during all stages of litigation and with deep-dive legal research and analysis that drives case evaluation and litigation strategy. Elaine has won “million-dollar motions” achieving judgment as a matter of law for clients on high-risk claims, obtained rulings excluding key plaintiff’s evidence from trial, and successfully defended defense judgments through appeal. She is skilled at analyzing and briefing complex legal issues and understanding and explaining important medical, engineering, scientific, and technical concepts. She has regular trial and oral argument experience and serves as embedded appellate counsel on trial teams.
